It's fascinating! Unfortunately the book is a bit old (1991). Whitney Chadwick seems to have updated her arguments in Farewell to the Muse: Love, War and the Women of Surrealism (2017) but I don't know if it's as much of a useful survey of the movement as the other book was....<br /><br />Kay Sage is one of my favorite surrealist artists.<br /><br />I've featured David McCall Johnston's art on my site if you're curious a few years back.
